Intereuropa Group shuts down German branch

Weak results in the past two years became fatal for Intereuropa Spedition & Transport GmbH in Troisdorf

Because it failed the targets for the results from its Slovenian parent company in the past two years, Intereuropa Spedition & Transport GmbH in Troisdorf (Germany) is facing its end. In a letter to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, Intereuropa d.d. announces the shutdown of its German branch. Business activities relating to Germany will be operated in cooperation with longstanding partners, they state.

The Intereuropa Group, headquartered in Koper, comprises companies in Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France, with a current total of 2,214 employees. The truck fleet consists of 380 vehicles.

Terminals with 262,700 m² covered area are available for warehousing logistic business. In the first six months of the year 2011 the enterprise generated a turnover at EUR 109.6 million, or 20 per cent more than in the same period last year.
