Vienna Airport expands its long-haul offering to Japan

Japan’s capital city will be linked to Austria by a daily service throughout the year. All Nippon Airways, Japan’s largest airline, will link Vienna with Tokyo-Haneda Airport starting on February 17th, 2019.  The new route will be served with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. With this new service, the Vienna Airport expands its long-haul offering.

“With ANA, Japan’s major airline will be represented at Vienna Airport in the future. As a result, Austria’s capital will be linked to Tokyo-Haneda Airport, the most central airport for Japan’s capital city. In the future, the flight connection will be available the whole year long, helping to strengthen economic ties and tourism between Japan and Austria,“ says Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, commenting on the new long-haul flight connection.

Austrian Airlines will fly five times a week from Vienna to Tokio-Narita during the summer timetable.
